Another picture from Micah’s costume themed photo shoot. What a character he is! We had a blast and would do it again any day. The one thing that bugs me about this picture is that you can see his socks. His costume had “flaps” of a sort which were intended to cover his shoes. I had him take off his shoes for the picture, but apparently the shoe flaps weren’t doing their job too well for this shot. Hey, what can I say? Any Superhero Jr does his rescuing folks in danger while sock footed, right?!

Fly Superhero!

Admittedly, this photo is a bit far fetched. We did a children’s costume shoot with Micah today, and he brought along his two favorite costumes – one of Superman and the other a military fatigue costume (with a toy revolver). So, how do you make a child superhero fly? We tried a variety of different poses, but Micah was a pretty active young boy and wasn’t too keen on staying still! He was also a bit upset because he’d forgotten to bring to the shoot his red flying cape. Nonetheless, the “flying” photo turned out not too badly.

Side note: Micah also wanted a series of photos of him (as the superhero) falling. We gave him two pictures of him falling (remember, he’d forgotten to bring his red flying cape, and, without that cape, junior superheros just can’t fly!) as well as one picture of him laying on the ground (supposedly of him “dead”). Hey, what can you say. All in the imagination of a 5 year old.

I really enjoyed doing a costume themed child photography shoot with Micah today. He brought a couple of his favorite costumes with him, and we got creative. Admittedly, some of his requests were outside the “realm of the possible,” but I think he walked away a pretty proud fellow.

Micah wanted a creative children’s photoshoot that would work hand in hand with the costumes he brought. We did a chromakey setup (floor & backdrop) and dropped in corresponding scenes for his soldier costume as well as his superman outfit. It was a blast.

Senior Portrait

With Krista’s photoshoot, we went for a variety of poses and settings, one of which was more of the traditional headshot using a prop table for her to rest her elbows on. For some people, this is a stereotypical “senior portrait,” though I prefer to try out some creativity with my senior portraits!

If, by chance, you do live around Shrewsbury or southern York county, and you’re looking for an ingenious fresh perspective on senior portraits, look us up and share your ideas.
